Ensembles

Preschool Choirs

The 4 & 5 Year Old Choir rehearses weekly in the Children’s Building on Wednesday evenings as part of the E-force Education Team curriculum from 6:00-7:50pm. This young ensemble sings in church monthly each fourth Sunday morning in the Blended Service in the Worship Center. Several teachers combine their talents to assist in leading this ensemble while the primary director is Karma Scardino.

The 3 Year Old Choir meets weekly in the Children’s Building on Wednesday evenings as part of the Education Team curriculum for preschoolers from 6:00-7:50pm. Under the direction of Debbie Heininger, this young ensemble experiences music with songs and activities that allow youngsters to sing and play instruments.

Children’s Choir

The 1st-4th Grade Choir meets weekly on Wednesday evenings in the Children’s Building throughout the school year as part of the E-force Education Team curriculum. Under the direction of Angie Green, this energetic young ensemble sings in church monthly on the second Sunday morning in the Blended Service in the Worship Center.

Summer Children’s Choir

Rehearsing on Wednesday evenings from 5:45-7:45pm in the Children’s Building during the summer semester, the Summer Children’s Choir is comprised of children who have just completed kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade or 4th grade. Under the direction of Angie Green, this ensemble rehearses throughout the summer and presents a musical on a Sunday evening service in early August to share what they’ve learned with the church family. While any child can participate, there are auditioned part opportunities for those who would like to audition.

Middle School Choir

Comprised of 5th-8th graders, the Middle School Choir (called Resound) meets throughout the school year on Wednesday evenings, 5:45-6:15pm, in the Choir Room. Under the direction of Joe Buckner, Hugh Norman and Tammy Nall, the Middle School Choir sings monthly with live band each third Sunday morning in the Blended Worship Service in the Worship Center.

Senior Adult Choir

Comprised of senior adults who love the Lord and love to sing, the Senior Adult Choir (called Rejoice) meets from August through May. This ensemble is on mission twice each month singing great hymns of the faith and presenting the Gospel in area nursing facilities. Under the direction of Joe Buckner, Minister of Music, and accompanied by Senior Adult Ministry Assistant Zenita Beeler, the Senior Adult Choir rehearses on Wednesday afternoons from 3:30-4:15pm in the Vision Center (Banquet Hall).

Redeemed

An auditioned small ensemble, Redeemed is a mixed ensemble of five singers who sing monthly in one of the Blended Service settings. Under the direction of Carl Trevathan, Redeemed presents mostly original songs which can be purchased on one of their two CDs available at the Media Table in the Crossing. Redeemed also sings regularly in the community.

Men’s Quartet

An auditioned ensemble, the Men’s Quartet sings monthly, principally in the “gospel style, in one of the Blended Service settings. Under the direction of Joe Buckner, Minister of Music, the Men’s Quartet sings in regular worship services, other church venues, and the community.

Young Adult Ensemble

The Young Adult Ensemble, an auditioned group, is comprised of six singers who sing monthly in one of the Blended Service settings. Under the direction of Joe Buckner, Minister of Music, this energetic group sings principally modern worship songs.
