As summer ends and we move into fall, Roswell Street Baptist Church continues an active ministry calendar for our local community and beyond. Invite your family, friends, neighbors and acquaintances to join you in a worship experience that offers numerous opportunities for fellowship, worship and discipleship.
Our Senior Pastor, Dr. Ernest Easley recaps our year so far in his monthly column “As I See It.” He also encourages us to each find our place of service to our church. If you have a heart for a particular area of ministry, please contact us and we’ll assist you in finding your place.
Our Women’s Pregnancy Center continues to serve women in need in our community. You can be a part of this vital ministry by volunteering to serve or by providing much-need supplies to help keep the Center stocked and ready to assist those who need help.
Our Senior Adults are active and on the move! Our monthly SONshiners meeting is a great way for Senior Adults to meet and greet others. There’s always lots of fun and entertainment as well. SONshiners meets the third Tuesday of every month at 11:00 AM in our Vision Center. Lots of Senior Adult excursions are planned in the coming months, contact us if you’d like to join us.
Our Music Ministry is busily preparing for the Christmas holiday and our “Community Christmas Celebration.” You too, can be a part of our festive holiday musical programs. Our Minister of Music, Joe Buckner, is looking for talented musicians to be a part of our musical offerings. Check the Herald online for a complete schedule (so far) of what’s in store.
Our Children’s Ministry is preparing for the new Upward basketball season! If you’re at all familiar with Upward Sports, you know what a remarkable program it is. Our Upward Basketball & Cheerleading registration has begun online – you can register elsewhere on our website. Our Children’s Minister Mark Scardino, also outlines our revised Children’s Worship opportunities in this month’s Herald.
Our Sunday School Small Group Ministry offers lots of opportunities for everyone to participate. With exciting new classes beginning in Sunday School, there’s outstanding lesson plans taught by insightful, loving teachers, anxious to share God’s love with you. Come be a part of this with us.
As always, our Connections contemporary service, our student and youth ministries, as well as many other ministries, offer incredible opportunities for personal spiritual growth. We encourage you to contact us if you have any questions about any of our ministries…

As the “dog days”of summer approach, Roswell Street Baptist Church continues its summer season with a very active schedule of ministry opportunities.
As Dr. Easley notes in his monthly “As I See It” column, recent events demonstrate the continued strength of the ministries here at RSBC. In his monthly recap, he points to Sunday, July 27th and his message entitled, “The Secret To God’s Hand Of Favor,” in particular. Why not contact our Come Alive Media Ministry and order a copy of the message for your own personal spiritual development?
Our Women’s Pregnancy Center needs your continued support as we solicit your on-going assistance in reaching out to women in our community. Review the list of supplies needed and prayerfully consider those items with which you may be able to assist.
Our Connections Teaching Team is also highlighted in the August Herald. Upcoming teachers and the dates they will be speaking are showcased. You know someone who could benefit from our contemporary ministry? Invite them to join you and develop a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Ladies’ Fall Bible Study Kick-Off is Wednesday, August 18. Please join us at 6:00 PM in the Vision Center as our Fall Session of Women’s Bible Study gets underway.
The Music Ministry continues its very active ministry with a full slate of activities in the August. Of particular note, “Christmas In August” is scheduled for Wednesday evening, August 18. Preview our outstanding Christmas music offerings in one night and plan to be a part of a meaningful and Christ-filled Christmas season at RSBC.
Our Children’s Ministry, Senior Adult Ministry, Women’s Ministry and Student Ministry also feature special ministry opportunities in August including the following:

Summer is in full swing at Roswell Street Baptist Church. As our cover art reminds us, Freedom is a very precious commodity and is not to be taken lightly. We celebrate America with a very special performance during our “God & Country” celebration on Sunday, July 4 at 11 AM. Immediately following the 11 AM worship experience, join us for our Independence Day Family Picnic featuring hamburgers/hot dogs & all the fixin’s including drinks & chips for just $5 per person. Don’t Miss It!
In his monthly column “As I See It”, Dr. Easley showcases upcoming mission opportunities for the remainder of the year and into 2012. Review these exciting opportunities and prayerfully consider participating in one of these worthwhile mission trips.

Our Media Ministry has lots of sermon series available for your spiritual development. Dr. Easley’s “America In Crisis” has been very popular with many families trying to understand what is currently going on in America today. Messages are always available immediately following both morning worship services.

Summer kicks off in a big way at Roswell Street Baptist Church with the beginning of Vacation Bible School, June 7-11 from 8:45 AM till 12 noon daily. All children ages 4K through 6th grade completed are invited and are encouraged to invite their friends. RSBC’s ” Saddle Ridge Ranch” VBS will be filled with fun and exciting Bible adventures all week, and offer lots of rootin’ tootin’ fun!
Dr. Easley hits several high points in June and in the coming month’s in his “As I See It” column. One of the items includes our new location for Sunday Night Worship during the summer months. Beginning at 6 PM on Sunday, June 13, we will begin meeting in the Multi-Purpose Building (Building G – The Gym) for the duration of the summer. Invite your friends, family and acquaintances to be a regular part of our Sunday night worship experience!
Our Music Ministry has a full schedule of summertime activities as well. Join us on Sunday morning at 11 AM for a celebration of God & Country as the RSBC Choir & Orchestra present “Homeland” – a patriotic celebration including a time of recognition of veterans and community leaders, sure to have you on your feet cheering the USA! Immediately following the presentation, everyone is invited to be a part of our July 4th Family Picnic Lunch featuring a Hamburger or Hot Dog Lunch with drinks, chips, and “all the fixin’s” for just $5 per person.
Our High School and College 2010 Graduates are honored in the June issue as well. Take a moment and lift up these young people in prayer as they prepare to embark on the next stage of their lives.

The May 2010 issue of the Roswell Street Herald looks at what’s going on at RSBC as Spring glides into Summer. Of special note this month is a call for volunteers for Vacation Bible School and VBX coming up June 7-11. Be a part of changing eternity for young people in our community. Check out the Upcoming Events showcased on the back page for a quick overview of the month of May and beyond.
In his column, As I See It, Dr. Easley asks that we participate in a very special way in our upcoming ministry activities – read his column to see what it is. You can also find the upcoming speaking schedule for our Connections contemporary services for the month of May. Our Men’s and Women’s Ministries have several activities in May that you will want to put on your calendar as well. Our Missions Team is busy praying for and planning several important Mission trips in the coming months including the High School Ministry’s trip to Piracicaba, Brazil, July 9-19.
Our Music Ministry has a busy schedule underway and are hard at work planning an Independence Day Celebration of God and Country – the musical presentation of “Homeland.” Our senior adults are offered plenty of activities through the Senior Adult Ministry including the monthly luncheon/program: SONshiners.
