2020 Annual Business Meeting:
Each November, the church gathers for the Annual Business Meeting to review and approve the Annual Budget and the Blue Book. The Annual Budget is produced by the Finance Committee & the Budget Committee for review by the church membership at least two weeks prior to the Annual Business Meeting each year. During this two-week period before the annual meeting, two Budget Question & Answer (Q&A) Sessions are offered where church members are invited to attend to ask questions or comment on the proposed budget. In both Q&A Sessions, representatives from both the Budget Committee & Finance Committee are available to answer questions, as well as the Executive Pastor and Finance Director. Because Q&A sessions are made available for discussion ahead of the Annual Business Meeting, the Annual Budget is presented as is for an ‘up or down vote’ without discussion at the annual meeting. The Blue Book is a book of reports that includes a log of pastoral and committee activites from the year as well as a slate of nominees for committees for the upcoming year. The Blue Book may include an action item presented by a committee for recommended action from the church. There are no additional action items to be presented this year.
