Many families in our culture today experience broken relationships, an increasing divorce rate, fatherless homes, poor parenting, wayward children and other divisive patterns that have taken a significant toll on the family unit in America! Relationship assessments reveal that many who marry have never experienced the kind of home life they desire. Young couples want a committed, life-long relationship though many are fearful of marriage because of the looming reality of divorce or a broken home. Many have never experienced a family with a healthy, lifelong marriage, but they desire one nonetheless! In a similar way, many parents feel inadequate and unprepared as they face the critical responsibility of raising a child. Many parents don?t know how to parent well because they?ve had few healthy role models to mentor them,
It’s time to discuss how we can change these patterns! God has a plan to restore marriages, to mend broken families and to reconcile torn relationships! “Extreme Home Make Over” is a church-wide, 6-week emphasis in search of God’s plan for the family! It will include biblical messages each Sunday morning (10:30am), Sunday morning small group lessons where adults can learn together (9:00am), suggestions for family ‘table-talk’ discussions (during the week), suggestions for ‘family fun nights’ (during the week), and so much more!
