Easter Week Events
What: Easter Sunday Worship
When: Sunday, April 4 @ 10:30am
Where: In-Person @ Roswell Street Baptist Church and Online @ https://roswellstreet.com/live/
Event Description: On Friday afternoon of Holy Week, Jesus Christ willingly goes to the Cross to become ‘the spotless Lamb of God who takes away the sins of the world.’ Because Jesus Christ had no sin in His life, His innocent blood is able to cover the sins of all who would repent of their sins and make Him Lord. But, His work is not yet complete. According to I Corinthians 15:17, if Christ has died and is not raised from the dead, all mankind is still in their sins. Early on Sunday morning, Jesus completes the work of Messiah as He conquers both death and the grave. According to Revelation 1:18, Jesus says, “I am the Living One. I once was dead and now look I am alive forever and ever! And I hold the keys of death and Hades!” Early on Sunday morning, the women had prepared spices and were on their way to the Tomb to bring a beautiful fragrance to the place of death. When they came to Jesus’ Tomb, the stone in front of the Tomb had been rolled away. They went inside and his body was no longer there. Suddenly, there were two men dressed in bright white (angels) who appeared to the women and said, “Why do you look for the Living among the dead? He is not here, He has risen!” They ran to tell the eleven disciples (for Judas had died) and others the news of Jesus’ resurrection! Easter Sunday is a celebration of the culmination of Jesus’ mission, conquering death and the grave as He rose from the dead! Join us as we celebrate this cornerstone event in the life of Jesus Christ! Invite family and friends and consider doing a ‘watch party’ through your Facebook page OR attend in-person.
What: “Life Is Meaning-Full” Sermon Series
When: Sundays @ 10:30am (April 11 – May 2)
Where: Roswell Street Baptist Church
Sermon Series Description: The aching emptiness of life and the longing search for meaning and significance in the human heart is greater now than ever before. The search for things certain and sure seems to give way to hopelessness. We are living in a high-tech, low-touch world; we are more connected than ever virtually but struggle to engage in meaningful relationships vitally. The prolonged pandemic has led many to a deep hole of aloneness. Social distancing has produced social isolation. How can you decrease ‘less’ from your everyday meaning and increase ‘full’? This is a search that ancient King Solomon was pursing throughout his life. The book of Ecclesiastes records his search for significance and his discovery that speaks a timeless truth down through the ages. Journey with the Roswell Street family as we seek to place “full” in our everyday “Meaning.”

What: “Pray & Go” Event
When: Sunday, April 25 @ 11:30am-2:00pm
Where: Lunch at RSBC in the Gym (11:30-12:30pm); “Pray & Go” event within communities around the Church (12:30-2:00pm)
Event Description:
Two distinct mandates are present in scripture. Pray & Go. I Thessalonians 5:16 says, “Pray without ceasing.” Mark 11:24 says, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” Jesus said, “Go into all the world” in Matthew 28:19. In John 20:21, Jesus said, “As the Father has sent me, now I am sending you.” With these scriptures in mind, we are committing to Go into the neighborhoods around our church to Pray over the homes in the community. No, we are not knocking on doors. Rather, our goal is simply to pray for the people in each home by pausing to pray as we walk through our assigned communities. I can hear you saying…”I can do that!” Yes, you can! Come join us for a delicious lunch at 11:30am. After lunch, Joe & Taga will place us into teams of 2-3 before receiving our ‘prayer walking location assignments.’ The goal?! Our goal is to pray over 2,000 homes! How will we meet that goal? We will need 100 people who will form 50 teams that will pray for 40 homes. 50 teams X 40 homes each = 2,000 homes!
It’s that simple! So that we can reserve your lunch, we need to know that you are coming. Please register for lunch at the following link.
